Single Female Sparrow Looking for Male!
Caught this little girl looking at me. Probably the shutter click. Taken with a Nikon D7000 with 300mm prine and a 2x extender. Making the actual 600mm, and with a crop factor of 1.4 for a very close 840mm. SWEET!

I just love this time of year for taking the random shot of the moon. The moon was high in the sky tonight and it was frigid. Which meant a pretty clear cloudless night with the least amount of atmosphere between camera and subject.

Another from the Spring 2012 Robin Collection.
A recent visitor to my little concrete backyard.

Sometimes fall hits hard, we've had a lot of rain and some cool weather recently and this youghster is getting that feather boa ready for the cold weather. She has a bit of the juvy coloring in the beak yet, but hey look at those talons, oh baby.
Kaun Park, 11th and Pine Street, Philadelphia, PA. On a pleasent fall Saturday afternoon, I was returning from an appointment and saw the neighborhood Sparrows were bathing in the fountain. Naturally I didn't have my gear so I headed off the copuple blocks to home. Got my D300s mounted the 150-500 and grabbed monopod and headed back out. When I got back to the park the clouds had darkened the fountain and there were zero birds in attendance. The clouds eventually parted to light the fountain and the birds came back. The sunlight overexposed one side and the tree cover underexposed the other. I left my flash at home so I shot and hopped for the best. I was able to get a few good ones and I'm happy with them.
